Ecology Awareness and Valorization in the Austrian Toll Charge (MAUT) / Road-Pricing as from 1st of January 2010.
According to the Federal Law Gazette of 1st of December 2009 the 394th toll charge tariff act on ecology awareness and valorization in the Austrian toll charge (MAUT) will be coming into effect starting from 1st of January 2010. The ecologisation of the truck toll charge will be taxed based on tariff groups, EURO classification and number of axes.Truck toll charge in Austria from 1.1.2010 in EUR (excl. VAT)

according to §9 para. 1 BStMG with 1,4% is taken into account.
The Gebrüder Weiss truck fleet policy meets the upmost environmental requirements and gives the effective Euro V and EEV exhaust emission standards top priority. For long-haul rutes we are using our latest trucks exclusivly and for local traffic having pay-scale group „C” trucks is optional in principle. The outcome of the road charge valorization is a zone based adjustment of the effective Gebrüder Weiss general cargo, LTL and FTL toll templates.
An increase of the effective toll charges for our transport services is due to the valorization and ecological awareness. Therefore it is necessary to charge these additional costs to our business partners and to raise our general cargo, LTL and FTL toll charge tariffs.
